Our group was started by researchers from the Massachusetts Institute of technology and Harvard, and is open to any researcher in the life sciences or medical doctor who work or have worked in the Boston area.

Mission 

The Mission of the group is to gather researchers in life sciences and physicians who work or have worked in one of the Public and Private Institutes, companies and Universities in Boston. Research, finance, and technology, in particular biotechnology, are the base of the city’s economy, and this makes of Boston a center of higher education and a hub for health care.
Life sciences include interdisciplinary fields of research and we are convinced that the interaction with people from different background is the most important key for professional success and for the quality of our studies. Therefore, this group wants to help the connection and the collaboration between people working or studying in all the public and private Life Science Institutions and Universities (IDEM) in Boston, in order to share scientific knowledge, expertise and encourage collaborations. Our activities would also provide a source of information for all the members who are willing to have similar professional experiences.

Aims
- Provide the exchange of ideas, advice and scientific information within this group and with members of other groups of PrometeoNetwork
- Help our members to connect with other group fellows (by using the networking platform of Within3)
- Facilitate job searching in Life Sciences for our members looking for positions in Boston Universities and/or companies, by posting online job opportunities available in our Members’ workplaces
- Help members interested in working in the Boston area, guiding them with information and advice.
