Seminar at the SBARRO Institute
at Temple University
On May the 7th, 2007, PrometeoNetwork organized a seminar at the SBARRO Health Research Organization Institute , at Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, USA.
Saverio Gentile, PhD, from the National Institute of Environmental Health (NIEHS) in Durham, NC, USA, spoke about the roles of RHO GTPases for thyroid hormone signalling.
“I always strongly believed that the most interesting part for a speaker of a scientific seminar, no matter how long he talks or experienced he is, happens just at the end of his presentation; when everything is finally done and there is only time for answering questions.” Said Saverio.
”However at Temple I was surprised about how some of the most interesting questions came before the seminar itself. During my staying I had the chance to meet interesting
people, experienced as well as young scientists, with whom I engaged very stimulating discussions. This excited me very much and revealed new aspects of science at the cutting edge. Also, it gave me the possibility to start scientific collaborations with some of the PIs.”
